Our third kindergarten project took place in the isolated village of Bobe.

Bobe is in the same Hatu Udo administrative area, however, is easily cut off in rainy season. Roads are particularly unreliable. Our first visit required a river crossing which was interesting to say the least.

The building was modelled off our Beikala kindergarten and is made of cement brick with tin roof.
A toilet was not needed due to the closeness of the Bobe primary school.
A small office/storage room was also included.

We allowed the local village council to modify our plans to suit their own needs while still working within the budget constraints. This project came in on budget at $12,000 USD and was completed just under the 18 months.

We also undertook maintenance to our first school building. Weather and geographical conditions can quickly destroy buildings. Roofing was fixed, floors were fixed, furniture was fixed.
This was carried out thanks to the help of the ADF DCP-TL who provided manpower and equipment to supplement the locals that helped with the remediation. It is very much appreciated.

Our kindergartens usually have an attendance of around 30 to 40 kids (ranging from 3 years old to 6 years old) - gaining a valuable education.
